Defense preparedness curriculum is one of the main platforms for transferring basic and general defense knowledge and skills (active and inactive) to the future generation of the country in order to promote soft power. Currently, the quality and quantity of the main elements of the defense preparation curriculum do not respond to the defense needs of the country in the field of hard and soft war. Educational programs The aim of this research is to analyze the lived experiences of the teachers of the defense preparation course in Tehran to help realize the goals and promote the defense preparations and soft power by identifying the existing realities from the teachers' point of view. 30 teachers of defense preparation were interviewed and data analysis was done with the qualitative interview tool and seven-step Claysey analysis. The findings of the research showed that based on the experiences of defense preparation course teachers, it is necessary to pay attention to 13 categories: 1. Attention to infrastructure 2. Non-availability of hardware and software tools 3. Lack. The specialized field of defense preparation 4. Lack of expertise of teachers 5. Many changes of teachers 6. Sufficient opportunities for them 7. Inadequacy between the practical and theoretical part of defense preparation training 8. School facilities 9. Community needs 10. Lack of attention to the importance and necessity of defense lessons 11 Connection with other subjects 12. Absence of specific strategies and policies 13. Lack of interaction between policy making and implementation
